Using the Constitution as the cohesive thread, “Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War” offers a fresh and innovative perspective on Lincoln that focuses on his struggle to meet the political and constitutional challenges of the Civil War. Organized thematically, the exhibition explores how Lincoln used the Constitution to confront three intertwined crises of the war—the secession of Southern states, slavery, and wartime civil liberties. Visitors will leave the exhibition with a more complete understanding of Abraham Lincoln as president and the Civil War as the nation’s gravest constitutional crisis.

This “hands-on” class will offer a demonstration of the use the “Heritage Quest Online” database. Participants are encouraged to bring information on ancestors they wish to research as there will be time at the end of the class to work on your own. Each participant will have access to a computer and basic computer skills are necessary to fully enjoy this workshop. Registration is required.

On the third Wednesday of the month a noon at the Noblesville Library, learn the techniques of counted cross-stitch. Please bring scissors, a pencil, and masking tape with you. Becky Bledsoe will be the instructor for this course. Ms. Bledsoe has been cross-stitching for more than 36 years, she designs her own patterns and she enjoys teaching others this skill she loves so much. Registration is required. A fee for materials will be assessed based on the project and payable to the instructor the day of class. Students may bring their own projects and materials if desired.
