Storytime is for older toddlers through preschoolers and their caregiver. Sing, play and listen to stories followed by an activity or craft. Our programs are designed to include STEAM activities, help young children develop the skills they will need to be ready to read, and encourage the development of fine and gross motor skills.

Sherlock Holmes and the Beginning of Modern Forensic Science

David Zauner is a forensic scientist with the Indianapolis-Marion Co. Forensic Services Agency, and the current vice president of the Illustrious Clients of Indianapolis, the local Sherlock Holmes Society chapter. In this program, Mr. Zauner combines his expertise in the field of forensics and his interest in Arthur Conan Doyle's Great Detective to explore parallels between the methods in the Holmes stories and those actually used at the time. He compares Holmes cases to true crime cases at the turn of the 20th Century.

Exploring Fold3 and American Ancestors

This is a “hands on” class. After demonstrations of using Fold3 and American Ancestors, participants will be able to research their own ancestors in these databases so they should bring family information to the class from which to work. Basic computer skills are a must. Registration is required. LEUs are available for this class.

Receive basic computer tutoring in areas like basic computer/internet/email use, iPad & eReaders, digital downloads, Microsoft Office, library catalog and other online resources. We cannot help troubleshoot or fix hardware issues. Please come prepared with your questions and any passwords related to your issue. We will meet in the computer training lab at the Fishers Library. Adult Basic Education/High School Completion (daytime section)

The Adult Basic Education classes work with students who want to take the High School Completion test (previously the GED, now the TASC), want to work on basic skills for job advancement, or who are already graduates and need to brush up on skills for college preparation. Students should be prepared to do several hours of homework each week, in addition to attending all classes.


Section 1 - Noblesville Library, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Section 2 - Noblesville Library, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30-9 p.m.
Section 3 - Westfield Middle School, Mondays and Wednesdays, 5-8 p.m.

This lapsit program is for infants through young toddlers and their caregiver. Participate in rhymes, songs, and stories with your little one. Caregivers will take away ideas for playing with baby in a meaningful way.

June 25th's book will be "State of Wonder" by Ann Patchett - CR Heroes at 10570 East 96th Street in Fishers.

July 23rd's book will be "Notes from the Internet Apocalypse" by Wayne Gladstone - Nickel Plate Bar & Grill off 116th in Fishers.

All books will be available for check out at the Fishers Reference Desk area, just bring your library card!
