Indiana State Library Genealogy

Houses one of the major collections of genealogy and local history in the Midwest. It includes the Indianapolis Public Library's extensive genealogy collection begun in the 1890s and the current collection dating from 1934. The emphasis in the collection is on Indiana and the states from which Indiana was settled: the Eastern Seaboard, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee. There are however holdings from the entire US and several foreign countries.
