Department Responsibilities

The following are some of the responsibilities of the Youth Services Department.

• Library reference services to youth - Youth reference questions may be emailed to youthquestions@hepl.lib.in.us or you may call the Youth Services Department at 317-770-3216 (Noblesville) or 317-579-0304 (Fishers).
• Programming for youth - Information and calendars for youth programs are available at the Youth Services Desk at each building. Registration is required for most Youth Services Programs.
• Materials selection and maintenance for youth
• Compiling bibliographies about special topics
• Recommending the annual budget for the Youth Services Department
• Placing holds and transfers of youth materials
• Accepting considerations for library purchases for youth
• Selecting materials from donations
• Promotion, publicity, and marketing of the Youth Services Department, its materials, and its services
• Bibliographic instruction

Youth Services programs

Young Adult and Teen Information

The Youth Services Department is located on the lower level of the Noblesville Library and the main floor of the Fishers Library.
