Summer Reading Program

The Summer Reading Program is a popular activity offered each year through the Hamilton East Public Library. The program runs for an eight week period in June and July and is open to all ages of readers. Everyone, from babies to adults, has the opportunity to read to collect prizes and words of encouragement.

In 2009, more than 18,541 youth, young adults and adults participated in the Summer Reading Program to quench their love of reading. At the end of the program, prizes are awarded to participants who complete the requirements for their specific age category. These prizes might include coupons to area restaurants or attractions, canvas book bags, paperback books and more.

Beginning June 1st, 2010, readers can register to participate in the Summer Reading Program at either the Noblesville or Fishers Library. The children's theme for 2010 will be "Make a Splash - READ!" For more information, simply stop by or call the Youth Services Department at either library location. (For the Noblesville Library, call 770-3216. For the Fishers Library call 579-0304).
