How to Throw an Epic Dragon Party!

If you have kids-or you’re a kid at heart-it’s possible that you’ve heard of those magical, beautiful creatures called DRAGONS! With the release of the new movie How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, it’s also possible that dragons are the topic of conversation around your house. Wouldn’t it be fun to throw an epic Dragon party for the kids-or the adults who are young at heart-in your life? Here are a few ideas to get you started.

Books!

It probably comes as no surprise that books play a big part of any children’s party that I throw. So here are a few of my absolute favorite dragon books poised to delight your guests.

Be a Good Dragonby Kurt Cyrus is a delightful book that explains one way in which dragons get a bad rap. The story with its rhyming text is funny and engaging and the illustrations are just beautiful. I highly recommend this picture book for dragon lovers of all ages.

Another of my favorites is There’s a Dragon in your Bookby Tom Fletcher. This super cute story about a baby dragon that has just hatched is interactive and such a fun read-aloud. This is a surefire winner if you are reading to preschoolers or younger elementary aged children!

Decorations

These little beauties are so clever and fairly easy to make with an SVG file purchased from Etsy and the Cricut machine that you can use free of charge in our Ignite Studios. Just make up a few, attach them with fishing wire and hang from your ceiling. It will look as if you have dragons flying everywhere among your party guests. So FUN! Here’s the link.

Activities

These metal dragon eggs are glorious and something that every self-proclaimed dragon lover must have! They are also super easy to make. All you need is a Styrofoam egg, metal thumbtacks, and nail polish. Find out how to make them here.

Food
