Festive Fall Events and Activities at the Library

October in Indiana brings to mind crisp fall days, colorful leaves, pumpkins, and Halloween fun. What better way to celebrate fall than to participate in one of the programs on the October menu at Hamilton East Public Library. From informative, to entertaining, to crafty, to slightly spooky, there is something for all age groups. Check our events calendar here to see what we’ve brewed up for you! All Ages:

Oct. 1-31: DIY Project of the Month:  Paper Bag Masks
Reserve a table in Ignite or pick-up a supply packet to make DIY masks with your family or friends

Oct. 23: Belle Musique Fall Concert
Belle Musique will return to the Fishers Library this year with a fall concert of music from around the world

Oct. 30: A New Look at Our Universe’s Past
This virtual program will give you a look at the history of the Hubble Space Telescope as the new James Webb Space Telescope prepares to launch on October 31st


For Adults:

Oct. 19: Ghost Hunting in Indiana
Learn about the most haunted places in Indiana with investigators Nicole and Michael Kobrowski

Oct. 25: Wicked Fishers with Robert Bowling
Join author Robert Bowling as he regales the audience with historical misdeeds that brought this small town to national attention


For Teens:

Oct. 20 : Virtual Teen Anime Club: Extended Edition
Enjoy this extended Fall Break edition of Teen Anime Club! Watch anime and chat online with other teens fans!

Oct. 21 : Photography Tips for Teens @ Ritchey Woods
Join us at Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve in Fishers to take advantage of the beautiful fall scenery! Photographer and artist Tara Maxwell Stewart will give tips for teens wanting to learn more about photography and how to take great photos, even with just their phones!

Oct. 21 : Teen Lit Cafe @ Ritchey Woods
A book club exclusively for teens! This month we’re meeting at Ritchey Woods to make s’mores and discuss the current selection, We Hunt the Flame. We will meet at the shelter house with the fire pit right along the main path. Attendees will receive their free copies of next month’s selection, Aristotle and Dante Discover the Universe.


For Youth:

Oct. 18: Tween Zombie Party
Kids in grades 3-5 will enjoy games, crafts, and a Zombie Walk through the Noblesville Library.

Oct. 21: Steampunks Homeschool Enrichment: Glow-in-the-Dark Fun
Register to pick up a supply pack and participate in glow-in-the dark STEM activities for ages 9-13.
