01 Nov Ignite Studio’s Season of Giving 2023
Ignite Studio celebrates Season of Giving with many fun and exciting arts-focused classes and workshops in November and December. Join us to celebrate the artists of “The Sustenance Show,” an exhibit all about the things that feed and nourish us – from food to love. Stop by the Art Supply Swap to donate gently used supplies to artists in need and pick something new up for yourself or someone you care about while you’re there! Learn from fellow makers about how to make old things new again, just in time for the New Year. You can also join our Maker-in-Residence Rue Sparks in the last month of their residency to write uplifting letters to seniors in need or to make a zine to give to a friend. Or, drop in to Ignite any time to participate in our drop-in activities. December features stencil-made gift tags and beautiful beaded snowflakes! Registration for classes that require it opens two weeks prior to the event.

Have a hole in your favorite sweater? Your go-to lounge pants wearing out? Repair the clothes you love and extend their use! In this 2-hour drop-in gathering, patrons will gather to repair or alter clothing and other textiles. Keep fabrics out of the landfill! Help your clothes last longer! Basic mending supplies will be available, (feel free to bring your own) as we share knowledge of mending and embellishing techniques. Ages 13 and up.
