Recent Favorite Picture Books
Review by: Angela Dubinger
Folks, we love picture books. Sure, they’re geared toward preK to early elementary kids, but we think that picture books are really for EVERYONE. It’s true! And when you are one of the storytime providers at our library, you feel like you need to keep up with ALL of the picture book publications so you can share them with everyone in your programs. I’m grateful that my fellow library youth services staff have shared some with me so I can tell you all about them on the blog. (And please, if you think we’ve missed some, do tell us what favorites you’re reading too!) Without further introduction, here are some of our recent favorite picture books:
Carl and the Meaning of Life – Deborah Freedman
Abigail the Whale – David Cali
What a Naughty Bird – Sean Taylor
I Love my Colorful Nails – Alicia Acosta and Luis Amavisca
When Sadness is at Your Door – Evan Eland
Little Rooster’s Diamond Button – Margaret MacDonald
Naughty Mabel Sees All!!!! – Nathan Lane
