Floyd’s kite gets stuck in a tree and he wants it back! With a little thought, he decides to toss up one of his favorite shoes to knock it out of the tree and the shoe gets stuck too. The real trouble has begun as Floyd tries endless items to get his kite back. A cat, a ladder, a duck, everything that one can imagine including the kitchen sink! A very funny tale written and illustrated by Oliver Jeffers (The day the crayons quit). A simply written picture book along the lines of, There was an old lady who swallowed a fly, with childlike illustrations. A fun read for everyone.
Stuck was a 2014-2015 Young Hoosier Book Award Nominee.
