Teen Lit Café: Read Outside the Library

This August, we are starting a new book club just for teens! What makes it special? We’re not meeting in the library AND teens will get to choose the books we read! Each month we will meet at local coffeehouses and talk about a book while enjoying a delicious beverage. Then we’ll decide what to read in the future. The Fishers group will meet at The Well Coffeehouse, and the Noblesville group will meet at Noble Coffee & Tea.
The Teen Library Staff have decided what the first 2 books will be, but after that, the choice is yours! When we meet in August, we will hand out copies of We Were Liars by E. Lockhart and start reading it together. You’ve got a month to read it before we talk about it in September and hand out the second book: We Were Here by Matt de la Peña. After that, the group meeting in Fishers and the group meeting in Noblesville will probably be reading completely different books!
We are incredibly excited that Matt de la Peña will be visiting the Fishers location of the library on Friday, October 18th @ 6pm! Bring your copy of his book for the October meeting and he will sign it for you! Find out more about the event here.
Don’t worry if all the library copies are checked out! Remember, we’re handing out copies of the books the month before we talk about them. Can’t make it to a meeting and want to get the book for the next month? Ask at the TeenZone desk. We will have a limited number of books to hand out.

When: Fishers—The third Wednesday of the month from 6-7pm. The first meeting will be on August 21st, 2019.
Noblesville—The fourth Thursday of the month from 6-7pm. The first meeting will be on August 22nd, 2019.
