The Story of Diva and Flea

Diva is a little dog that lives a quiet sheltered life in Paris. One day she makes a new friend, Flea, a stray cat that explores Paris every day. He tells her stories about all of his adventures. Diva realizes that there is a lot more to Paris than the house and courtyard where she lives. Flea observes what it is like to have a home. Through their friendship they find out how to be brave together and start discovering with one small step.
This early chapter book shows how friends are made through trust and understanding. It is written by Mo Willems author of the Elephant and Piggie books. It is not as silly but still has his charm and humor. I would recommend this book for 6 to 8 year olds.
