Basics of how to use your digital camera, picture modes and menu options, accessories, terminology, and what to look for when buying a camera. Connect your camera to the computer, transfer pictures to hard drive, modify photos, and develop photographs through online services.
Note: Students must bring their own camera, connecting cable, camera equipment and/or hardware that will allow them to connect to the computers.
Students must be 16 years of age or older to attend this class.

For the child on the verge of reading of those looking to boost skills, we offer this fun and engaging storytime. Each week we will read specially selected stories and explore one of the six pre-reading skills all children need to succeed. We finish with a craft or project designed to continue the learning. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Always wanted to learn to knit or crochet? Here's your chance! Join us in the Teen programming room for an hour of knitting, crocheting and snacking. We'll be working on charitable projects throughout the year as well. We have yarn but you'll want to bring knitting needles or crochet hook.

Mah jongg Club meets most Thursdays, 5:30 to 8:45 p.m., and most Tuesdays 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fishers Library. One great club, twice as much fun. This club is open to anyone who knows how to play, rookie to expert. If you don't know how to play but want to learn please contact Melissa at 770-3235. This club will use National Mah jongg Rules. Players need to bring their Mah jongg rules card, their set if they have one, and four dollars in change (mostly quarters). Food and drinks are allowed in the library and a refrigerator is available so bring your lunch or snacks if you'd like. (MS)

Learn Excel in four classes.
This class is an overview of the basics of the Excel program: navigating through a spreadsheet; modifying text; creating formulas; using the SUM function; modifying rows and columns; and formatting cells.Participants learn Excel features: AUTO FILL, AVERAGE, COUNT, and other numeric formulas; and how to manipulate rows, columns, and cells.
Learn advanced level spreadsheet terminology and skills: using the �IF� logical function; chart wizard; applying conditional formatting and advanced formatting; hiding columns and rows; adding pictures, shapes and objects; and freezing panes. Learn advanced-level spreadsheet terminology and skills: the "pmt" financial function; the paste function; and applying drop down menus.
Learn advanced-level spreadsheet terminology and skills: using the hlookup and vlookup functions as well as several others; use goalseek, and pivot tables; and edit and create macros.
Students must be 16 years of age or older to attend this class.
